Labels carry the regulated and brand-identifying information that goes on a product — ingredient lists, barcodes, brand marks, scent and variant identification, batch codes. Stickers do similar work in promotional and casual contexts — branded swag, packaging accents, surface decoration, retail callouts. The substrate and printing process overlap, but the design intent differs.

A label is part of the product identity. The label decides how the product reads at the retail shelf, what regulatory information is documented, and how the brand identity carries through the buying decision. A sticker is part of brand experience or promotional context — it gets applied separately from the product itself, often after purchase, often to surfaces the brand doesn't control.

Holographic and security labels with specialty processes may require additional review before production.

Variable-data printing for batch codes, dates, and per-unit identifiers comes standard on regulated programs. For cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and supplements where lot tracking is required, the variable-data capability handles per-batch information without re-setting up the press. Multi-SKU product lines benefit from locking the structural label layout and varying only the per-SKU information.
